Korpitsch 535 kW

Carinthia (AU)

The Korpitsch hydropower plant is located in the south of the province of Carinthia in the border region with Slovenia and Italy on the Freistriz River. It was commissioned in 2015 and has a Pelton turbine with an installed nominal output of 535 kW. Water is drawn from the power plant via a Tyrolean weir around 2.3 km upstream of the turbine house, which is located underground. The power plant is connected to the medium-voltage grid at 20 KV.

Ziegenrück 600 kW

Thuringia (DE)

The Ziegenrück hydropower plant is located south-east of the municipality of Ziegenrück on the Saale river in Thuringia near the border with Bavaria. The Ziegenrück hydropower plant, which dates back to 1934, was rebuilt in 2014 and recommissioned with a new Kaplan turbine with an installed capacity of 600 kW.

Ospedaletto hydropower plant

Ospedaletto / Brenta 1400 kW

Trentino-Alto Adige (IT)

The Ospedaletto / Brenta hydroelectric power plant is located south-east of Trento below Lake Caldonazzo on the River Brenta. The installed capacity is 1400 kW. Two Kaplan turbines are used. The power plant was built in 2012 and was connected to the grid in October 2012. The high feed-in tariff is granted until the end of 2027.

Gernsbach hydroelectric power station

Black Forest (DE)

The Gernsbach hydropower plant is located in southwest Germany, in the Black Forest along the Murg river, between Gernsbach and the district of Obertsrot. The installed capacity is 527 kW. A Kaplan and a Francis turbine are used. The power plant was modernized in 2012 and was reconnected to the grid in October 2012. The feed-in tariff is granted until the end of 2033.

Black Forest (DE)

The Obertsrot hydropower plant is located in south-western Germany, in the Black Forest along the Murg river, approx. 1 km from the Gernsbach plant. The installed capacity is 346 kW. Two Francis turbines are used. The power plant was modernized in 2011/2012 and was reconnected to the grid in 2012. The feed-in tariff is granted until the end of 2032.

Rava hydropower plant

Lombardy, Province of Bergamo (IT)

The Rava hydropower plant was built on the Stabina and Caravino rivers, around 36 km north of the city of Bergamo. The plant was built in 2012 and commissioned in 2013. It includes a Pelton turbine with 825 kW and a Francis turbine with 322 kW, each with a separate inlet. A total output of 1147 kW is achieved.

Lombardy, Province of Pavia (IT)

The Erbognone I run-of-river power plant is located in the north-west of Italy on the river of the same name, in the Lombardy region, approx. 25 km from the city of Pavia. The hydropower plant was built in 2016 and connected to the grid in 2017. The plant is equipped with a Kaplan turbine and has an installed capacity of 165 kW. The head is 1.90 meters with a flow rate of approx. 10 m3/sec.

Lombardy, Province of Pavia (IT)

The Erbognone II hydropower plant is located in north-western Italy on the river of the same name, in the Lombardy region, near the city of Pavia. It is a run-of-river power plant that was built in 2016 and connected to the grid in 2017. The installed capacity of the Kaplan turbine is 280 kW with a head of 3.40 meters and a flow rate of 10 m3/sec.

Brzeg hydropower plant

Village of Brzeg, Lower Silesia (PL)

The Brzeg hydropower plant is located in the town of the same name in Lower Silesia on the River Oder, around 50 km south of Wrocław. Brzeg is a run-of-river power plant with four Kaplan turbines. The plant was built in 2012 and has an installed capacity of 300 kW with a head of 2.8 m and a flow rate of 11 m3/second.

Piedmont, Province of Cuneo (IT)

The Casotto medium-pressure plant is located in the north-west of Italy, in the Piedmont region, 10 km from the town of Mondovì. The water is fed to the powerhouse via a 1.6 km long pressurized water pipeline from the Casotto river of the same name. The plant was built in 2015 and has an installed capacity of 952 kW.

Ciglie hydropower plant

Piedmont, Province of Cuneo (IT)

The Cigliè hydropower plant is located in north-western Italy, in the Piedmont region, 9 km north-east of Mondovì on the River Tanaro. It was built in 2017 and has an installed capacity of 866 kW. It has a head of 3.4 meters and a flow rate of 13.47 m³ per second. The hydropower plant consists of two horizontal and bi-regulated Kaplan turbines.

Cividale hydropower plant

Friuli Venezia Giulia (IT)

The hydroelectric power plant is located in the town of Cividale, approx. 15 kilometers north-east of the city of Udine, on the Natisone river near the Slovenian border. The hydropower plant has an installed capacity of 240 KW. It was completed in 2017 and connected to the grid in December 2017. It will receive a high feed-in tariff until 2037. Two screw turbines from the turbine manufacturer HPG are used.

Fornovo hydropower plant

Emilia-Romagna (IT)

The Fornovo hydropower plant is located in the Emilia-Romagna region on the River Taro. It is a run-of-river power plant with an installed capacity of 260 kW. The plant was completed in 2016 and will continue to receive a high feed-in tariff until 2037. Two screw turbines are used in the plant.

The Ospedaletto hydropower plant is located in the municipality of Gemona del Friuli on the Tagliamento river. It is a run-of-river power plant with an installed capacity of 460 kW. The plant was completed in 2017 and will continue to receive a high feed-in tariff until 2037. The plant uses a VLH (Very Low Head) turbine from the French manufacturer MJ2.

The Zompitta hydropower plant is located approx. 10 km north of Udine in Friuli Venezia Giulia on the Torre river. The installed capacity is 600 kW. A Kaplan turbine from the Italian manufacturer Zeco is used. The power plant was completed at the end of 2017 and was connected to the grid on January 1, 2018. The high feed-in tariff of 210 euros/MWh will also be granted until 2037.

San Giovanni hydropower plant

The hydropower plant is located in the Dolomites in the Veneto region in the municipality of Forno di Zoldo. The medium-pressure plant with an installed capacity of 570 kW was built in 2015 and commissioned in the same year. The power plant has a Kaplan turbine and will receive a feed-in tariff of €0.219 until October 2035.

The hydropower plant, which was commissioned in 2013, is located on the Frison River of the same name in the municipality of Campolongo. It has two Francis turbines with an installed capacity of 452 kW. It will receive a feed-in tariff of €0.219/kWh until April 2033.

Rite Alto hydropower plant

The Rite Alto hydropower plant is located in the heart of the Dolomites, approx. 30 km north of Belluno. The high-pressure plant has an installed capacity of 541 kW and is equipped with a Pelton turbine. After being connected to the grid in 2011, it will receive a feed-in tariff of €0.22/kWh until March 2026.

Pellerina hydropower plant

Turin (IT)

The excellent location of this hydropower plant directly on the Dora Ripara river in Pellerina, a park in Turin, enables the electricity produced to be sold directly to the city of Turin. The plant was connected to the grid in March 2015 and has a Kaplan turbine with an installed capacity of 625 kW. The feed-in tariff is €0.219/kWh until March 2035.

Carpianello hydroelectric power station

Turin (IT)

The Energetica II plant consists of two hydropower plants, Caprianello E25 and Caprianello E26, located one behind the other. Their direct location on the Deviatore Redefossi drainage canal in the Lombardy region near Milan enables continuous, consistent production. The connection to the electricity grid took place in 2015 – these are two screw power plants with an installed capacity of 225 kW each and a guaranteed feed-in tariff of €0.219 / kWh until July 2035.

Dolomites (IT)

The Hydrocad hydropower plant is located in the village of Cibiana di Cadore in the Valle di Cadore in the province of Belluno in the heart of the Dolomites at 985 meters above sea level. It has an installed capacity of 743 kW and is equipped with a Pelton turbine. It was built in 2015 and commissioned in May of the same year. The power plant has a feed-in tariff of €0.155/kWh until May 2035.

Vallesina hydropower plant

The Vallesina hydroelectric power plant is located in the heart of the Dolomites at 851 meters above sea level in the village of Valle di Cadore. The power plant was built and commissioned in 2013. It has a Pelton turbine with an installed capacity of 482 kW and a head of 238.4 meters. The Pelton turbine processes a water flow of 245 l/s and generates around 1,700,000 kWh/a. The feed-in tariff of €0.219/kWh runs until May 2033.

Villarfocchiardo hydropower plant

The Villarfocchiardo hydropower plant is located northwest of Turin in the Italian-French border region of Piedmont in the village of Villar di Focchiardo on the Dora Riparia river. It was built and connected to the grid in 2017. The run-of-river power plant is equipped with a Kaplan turbine and has an installed capacity of 506 kW and a head of 4.1 meters. The power plant processes 15,000 l/s and produces an average of around 1 million kW/h per year. The feed-in tariff is €0.210/kWh until December 2037.

The Borghetto hydropower plant was built and connected to the grid in 2015. The run-of-river power plant is only around 12 km away from the Colombina hydropower plant and is equipped with a Kaplan turbine with an output of 80 kW and a head of 2.9 meters. It produces an average of around 320,000 kWh per year.

Lombardy (IT)

The Colombina power plant was built and connected to the grid in 2002 / 2003. The plant has two Kaplan turbines with an installed capacity of 400 kW and a head of 5.3 meters. It processes a water flow of 8,000 l/s and produces an average of around 2,300,000 kWh per year. This hydropower plant – located on an irrigation canal in Lombardy – is subject to the Prezzi Minimi, which currently has a tariff of €0.90/kWh.

Sacurov hydropower plant

Eastern Slovakia (SK)

The first Slovakian power plant in RENAIO’s portfolio is located approx. 35 km east of the city of Kosice on the Topla River in eastern Slovakia. Equipped with two Kaplan turbines and an output of 652 kW, it was built and connected to the grid in 2019. The run-of-river power plant processes a water flow of 4,900 l/s and generates around 2,098,000 kWh/a.
