New power plant in the province of Trentino in the portfolio of the RENAIO Infrastructure Fund Hydropower
Just a few weeks after purchasing the two German power plants, the RENAIO Infrastructure Fund Hydropower acquired the first hydropower plant in the province of Trentino-Alto Adige on Friday, July 8, 2022. The power plant has 2 Kaplan turbines with a total installed capacity of 1.4 MW.
The “Ospedaletto / Brenta” power plant is located south-east of Trento below Lake Caldonazzo on the River Brenta. Due to its proximity to the Alps, a lot of precipitation falls throughout the year (approx. 876 mm/p.a.). The Brenta has its source in Lake Caldanazzo, which serves as a reservoir/buffer for the hydroelectric power plant.
