Further growth in the portfolio of the RENAIO Infrastructure Fund Hydropower
Two new hydropower plants in Lombardy – the “Colombina” power plant and the “Borghetto” power plant – were acquired in the form of a share deal.
The “Colombina” plant is located in the municipality of the same name on an irrigation canal. With this location a uniform and constant production is achieved and special flood protection measures are not required.
Just 12 km away is the “Borghetto” hydroelectric power station – also on an irrigation canal.
With the acquisition of La Colombina s.r.l., both power plants were acquired and are to be regarded as a single unit.
The RENAIO Infrastructure Fund Hydropower has thus expanded its portfolio to a total of 27 hydropower plants.
